A Few More Days

I cannot believe it but there are only 4 more days until Christmas! I do not believe how quickly the time has gone by, I am trying to soak up every moment until Christmas. There are still several things I want to accomplish before Christmas but thankfully I only have a few more presents to get. Since I have only been married a year and half we haven't formed many traditions yet but there are few things that we have started and some I want to add.
1. One of my favorites: Watch White Christmas and Holiday Inn, amongst the many other holiday movies we like to watch
2. Buy a new ornament-Check
3. Drive around and look at lights-Still need to do
4. Go to the mall - (I know that sounds silly but even though its a crazy time to go to the mall I really enjoy going and seeing all the holiday decorations and usually the really big tree in the middle of the mall)

5. Of course spend it with family, in which we will be headed to NM once again, can't wait :)

6. Make homemade coco, yum...

Well I guess that is it so far, there are so many more traditions I want to implement but we have plenty of years to add them ;)
For Example: I want to start doing an advent calendar until Christmas
I also want to get better at sending out Christmas cards, I am bad at that.
Every year I also want to make one new Christmas decor for my house.
And the most important I want to give back to the community and help with a charity. We should be doing that all year around but I defiantly want to keep the realization that Christmas is not just about receiving but giving!
Hope you all are enjoying your family traditions as the countdown until Christmas is coming to an end!

BFF

What a middle school expression "BFF" Best Friends Forever- that term is thrown all over the place at that stage of life and the older you get the harder it seems to have a "BFF" Well I was beyond blessed to find just that, a BFF in college. As I mentioned before I had not her seen since my wedding! Living three states apart is no bueno at all!! Well this weekend I was able to go visit her and meet her precious baby boy! I cannot tell you the joy I had in seeing them! We were able to visit and catch up on life! It was incredible to watch her as a mommy and the love she has for her baby boy! The whole trip was amazing and I was sad to leave them. Thankfully I know the 'Forever' part in "BFF" will hold true for us. Even states far apart we will always have such a precious friendship and now we discovered 'Heytell' (awesome app) to help in the communication process :)
Our first meeting :)                                               Mommy and Son!

Poor little guy was teething                                   Isn't he so cute!!!

Awe love those pictures, he was so much fun to be around! Miss them already!
Only 12 days left till Christmas!!! I have plenty of shopping to do until then eek! Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

Cherished Moments

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are having a terrific Friday! The last few days I have had the privilege of having my grandparents come for a visit! Not many of my family have been able to see our little home since most of them live in New Mexico. My cousin is graduating from college tonight so my uncle, aunt and cousin are also in town. I feel at times that I have two lives, one in New Mexico and one in Texas, so when family comes to visit it is a nice feeling of having both worlds combine for a moment, if that makes sense. I have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my grandparents this week, it can be tough living so far away from all my family so I cherish these moments when I can spend time with them.
In New Mexico green and red chili are huge, as I have mentioned before, and I promise to share recipes soon. Anyways, I can make green chili with no problem but red, well not so well, so my nana (my grandmother) showed me once again how to make red chili, which is so easy but I always find a way to mess it up lol. So we made some yummy enchiladas :) Picture below

Isn't she precious!!
Pampo and Nana :)

I am so glad they were able to come visit! Then my weekend gets even better, tomorrow morning I am headed out to go see my best friend in Arizona!!! I have not seen her since my wedding, which has been a year and half ago! And I finally get to meet her precious baby boy!! I am so excited!! There will be plenty of pictures posted when I returned.
Hope you all have a blessed weekend!!

In the Christmas Spirit!

It is December Folks! And that means its Christmas time! I love this time of year and was making myself wait patiently until after Thanksgiving to get into the Christmas spirit. So now it is full speed into Christmas everything! Christmas music 24/7 :) well maybe not quiet but there will be a lot of Christmas music playing. We decorated our little place this past weekend and already had one of many Christmas parties this week. I am determined to spread out my Christmas gift buying this year instead of forcing it all on one day like I did last year. This is our second Christmas married and it is just so fun experiencing the joy of it all with your spouse. There are so many things I want to do this time of year, I really need to make a list. Well here are some pictures of Christmas stuff J
This was a picture from last year but it's so fitting :)
 Our little Christmas tree
My favorite: Popcorn and Michael Buble
Love Lights and Snow (I have to get my snow fix in NM)
Hope you all are getting in the Christmas spirit and enjoying all the fun that comes with Christmas! Have a wonderful weekend!!
